Pastoral Vision
I believe that God has sent His son Jesus to restore mankind to their original purpose and to reconcile mankind back into fellowship with Him. The church is the body of believers who has been reconciled and restore to God by the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. My hope is that every believer embraces the power given to them when they accept Jesus Christ as their savior and that they understand they have been restored and reconciled back to God, who loves them with a love that passes all understanding.
God’s plan of restoration was completed in Christ. In Genesis chapter 1 versus 28, God blessed male and female to be fruitful, multiply, replenish, subdue and have dominion over His creation in the earth. In Genesis chapter 3 Adam and Eve lost their ability to be fruitful, multiply, replenish, subdue and have dominion over His creation in the earth. Paul said that in the first Adam all men died but in the second Adam all men live unto righteousness. Jesus Christ is that second Adam who restored mankind to God’s original state with the understanding that he or she must make a willful decision to accept Jesus as their personal Savior. If we are to live out God’s original intent for us, then we must abandon those things which hinder us from becoming productive, mature believers, who are giving, disciplined, and good stewards of what God has given us.
I believe that God had begun a work to reconcile mankind through Christ, who died for our sin. I believe that everyone can have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ, who gave his life for us. When Adam and Eve sin against God, they lost fellowship with God. Losing fellowship with God meant that we lost the quality of life, the way or method of having a great life and the truth which secures a great life. Jesus came and declared to a dying world that He was the Way, Truth and Life that no man comes to the Father except my Him. I believe that if you desire God and all that He is, then we must be reconciled back to Him on His terms, we must accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
My hope and prayer is that every believer in the Church would accept that he/she has been restored to their original purpose and they are reconciled back to God. To be restored mean to live out what God purpose, design and calling is for our lives. Once a believer knows he/she is restored, they must live their life by making a decision that reflects the call of God on their life. A believer must simply understand they have been reconciled to God, we now have access to Him through Christ, but we must live our lives according to His word. My prayer and hopes desire is that no one go to the grave without first becoming what God has called them to be.
